PEI Vacations on the Waterfront
The Briggs Suite at the Roseport is located directly on the Charlottetown waterfront, adjacent to Founder’s Hall and within easy walking distance to Peake’s Quay, Confederation Landing Park, shopping and fine dining. Live theatre and concerts are also only a short distance away. A five minute walk downtown will take you to the Victoria Row pedestrian mall with its fine outdoor dining bistros which are open during the summer season and nearby antique shops.
The Confederation Centre of the Arts and some of Charlottetown’s top restaurants including Maple Grille, Sims Steakhouse, Mavor’s, The Merchantman Pub, Gahan House, Pilot House and Sirenella Ristorante are all just a few minutes walk from your door.
Less than an hour’s drive away are some of Prince Edward Island’s finest North Shore beaches, tourist attractions such as Cavendish, Anne of Green Gables House, and the Island Preserve Company in New Glasgow. World-class golf destinations such as the fabulous links course at Crowbush in Lakeside, PEI can also be reached easily by car. Horseback riding is also available in Lakeside, PEI, cycling on the PEI Bike Trail course which runs the full length of the island and deep sea fishing charters at North Lake are also within easy reach of the Briggs Suite. The East Point lighthouse, Basin Head Beach on the South Shore and the North Lake Windmill farm are just over an hour’s drive to the East of Charlottetown.
If you are staying with us out at our Monticello B&B home in Eastern Kings county, many of these same attractions are less than 20 minutes drive away including deep sea fishing at North Lake and some of PEI’s warmest swimming water is available at Basin Head Beach on the south shore - just across the island from Monticello.
